Teniendo eso en claro, muchas veces los que nos dedicamos a redes sociales nos desorientamos y nos vamos por las ramas viendo videos que nada tiene que ver con el trabajo del día, ese es un agujero, porque su ponemos una app que vea las webs que visitamos y colocamos que el acceso a redes es productivo en caso de los que trabajamos en marketing digital, no existe manera de medir con precisión los minutos que vemos videos no relacionados a la actividad laboral.
Ese ejemplo de agujero se aplica a todo. En el transito, si se marca que vamos al trabajo por un camino y en el camino habitual nos quedamos a comprar el desayuno, es una perdida de tiempo, pero como es el camino habitual, puede que la app no la vea como una perdida de tiempo y solo promedie. Muchas personas cuentan su tiempo de productividad solo cuando arrancan el trabajo del día, la verdad que la llegada también cuenta mucho y esto se mide desde que uno se levanta. A mi me cuesta demasiado levantarme por las mañanas, pero en ocaciones estoy de pie ya a las 4:45 am y el primer objetivo es llegar al gimnasio a las 6:00 am.
Aunque en MINIMAL no contamos con horarios de entrada o salida, tener una marca personal acorde a tu actividades es elemental. No importa si tu meta es levantarte a las 9:00 am y llegar al trabajo a las 10:00 am, siempre que te marques una meta y la intentes cumplir, sirve para medir tu productividad.
Uso Waze para llegar y medir mi ida al trabajo. Lo hago en auto, esto facilita demasiado las cosas a la hora de la precisión, ya que depende mucho de uno y no de un conductor que puede estar en modo Formula 1 o carreta. Me decanto por Waze por dos razones, una porque es el ratón de prueba de Google Maps y otra porque Di-Ann Eisnor, Head of Growth en Waze fue profesora mía en un curso de Platzi.
Cuando trabajo
En mi experiencia son dos puntos a la hora de trabajar que se debe tener en cuenta: el check-list y el focus. Si uno se centra en seguir una lista de tareas que debe cumplir en la semana o en el día (Las que suelo usar) en un tiempo determinado, puede tener una métrica de tareas cumplidas sobre tiempo, una que me la inventé yo para tener una que me marque una meta.
Para el check-list uso desde hace años Wunderlist, una herramienta que fue creada en Alemania y que hace unos años fue adquirida por Microsoft. Es muy práctica, ya que sus versiones web, iOS y Android son geniales y la sincronización es excelente, así que su lema “Mantén tu vida sincronizada“ se cumple a la perfección.
Station es la plataforma que hace muy poco tiempo descubrí para mantenerme focalizado. Es una especie de navegador que se maneja con apps. Uno vincula las aplicaciones que cree convenientes y las tiene todas en una ventana, ventana que posee notificaciones muy pequeñas y no muy destacadas, así como también tiene un modo focus que ayuda eliminar distracciones.
